When is your birthday?
January 3rd
Are you really sisters?
Yes! My mom seriously popped out a band. What fascinates me most is when we tell people that we really are sisters, their reaction is like… really though? like blood-related? Apparently people say they’re sisters when they aren’t blood-related?! I just learned this. Weird.
How long have you been playing music?
Well, I play the vocal chords and that’s been for forever. My parents had me taking piano lessons at like 4 years old. According to my mom, I was reading music before I was reading the alphabet.
What inspires you?
I draw a little bit of inspiration from everything… like a beautiful sunset, a heartbreak, an old movie, minnie mouse, flowers, different cultures, fashion, surprises, akward situations, a good laugh, art, traveling. I mean… I love to write and when it comes to songwriting I pull almost all of my inspiration from life’s experiences. Ya know, my own thoughts and feelings about stuff I’ve been through as well as other people’s life experiences. One of my favorite things in the whole world is meeting new people! I love to listen to their stories and learn about their life. Ya know, have a good conversation. Nothing inspires me more than that.
How is it to work with your sisters?
Hilarious. You wouldn’t believe the stuff that happens to us. We’re always laughing. My sisters are my best friends and chances are if you had a burger with us at a diner we’d have some crazy funny stories to tell you. What we have is definitely special.
What do you miss most about New York?
That skyline. I miss it all really but the truth is New York is in my blood and it runs through my veins like the subways that run there. Sounds dramatic but seriously, no matter where I am, New York is in me. No matter where I go, it will always be home.
Name 3 things you couldn’t survive without?
My black leather moto jacket, red lipstick & my Bible.
What’s your favorite quote?
“Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.” – Wilde
